Our friends at Trickshop.com are currently (this week only?) offering a free download of a cut down version of Elastrix. Nine excellent effects including the Torn and Restored Elastic, Ring Off Band – a ring penetrates a rubber band held by a spectator and then goes back on again, the Jumping Band, Penetrating Bands. I know its not cards, but it is close up! Follow the link and choose ‘Close Up Magic’ in the drop down menu on the right to find the freebie!

Peter Duffie has just released a new ebook called Previous Convictions, and he still has a 2-for-1 offer on which will last until the 29th. Well worth a look if you are interested in cards. I am currently enjoying his Effortless Card Magic book.

And if you’re in to showing off with cards, the The Cobra Collection by De’vo teaches a very flashy series of one handed cuts and flourishes. It is reduced to only £8.81 at the moment (usually £22.99) so a bargain for all you XCMers!
