Trick of the Month – October 2009

Crossroads - By Ben Harris - INSTANT DOWNLOAD This is my favourite kind of card effect – with an impossible location of a thought of card. And it can also be presented in the ACAAN format which is a double bonus for me. Available as an instant download or in print, both at £22.50
6 HALLUCINATIONS by ED MARLO - INSTANT DOWNLOAD Here’s another instant download with the serious cardworker in mind. The late, great Ed Marlo provides one gimmicked, and five (yes FIVE!) non-gimmicked handlings for this classic Hallucination plot. Only £6.99
Act Two By Barrie Richardson Regular readers will know I am a big fan of books (one day I may post a listing of my little library up here somewhere) and also of mental magic. I recently purchased this second excellent volume from Barrie Richardson. If you love subtle and entertaining mental magic, look no further. £34.99 (the first volume – Theatre of the Mind is also available for £29.99)

Trick of the Month – May 2008

Card at Any Number (Impromptu) by Barrie Richardson For me this is a new all time favourite I think. This is a really practical solution to the card at any number plot which can be done with any (borrowed) deck and no preparation. There are a couple of moves which are within reach of anyone with any basic card skills, and as with all Barrie’s stuff it is routined to perfection! Highly recommended. £14.99
Magic Of Mark Leveridge Vol 3 (General Magic) Mark Leveridge always produces commercial magic, and this DVD includes 9 of his routines. I am particularly highlighting it this month because it is on special at the moment at only £12.34.
WD40 By Wayne Dobson I’m reading this at the moment and enjoying it very much. Firstly you have Wayne’s autobiographgy which is a really interesting read in itself. Find out how he reached the success he has done and also how he has battled with MS. And as if that was not enough, it includes 40 of his routines (hence WD40) which are always practical and straightforward. If you have any of the Dobson’s Choice booklets there is quite a bit of overlap, but some new ideas too. A great book. £25.99.
