Mindfreak Magic Kit Criss AngelWith Christmas just round the corner we thought we would slightly branch out of our usual kind of recommendations. I first got started in magic when I was bought a magic set when only 7 or 8 years old. This Mindfreak Magic Kit would be a great present for a young magician – or someone just starting out in magic. It looks to be significantly better quality than the plastic rubbish that you pick up in the supermarket – so could be a great way to start someone off. All sorts of card magic, close-up magic and street magic. My only question is about how well known Criss Angel is in this country. I have seen it elsewhere for £69.99 but at MagicTricks.co.uk it is only £49.99

His Card College books are modern day classics and are an essential starting point if you are serious about learning card magic.

Some years ago, he published Card College Light where the emphasis is on subtlety and presentation and hardly any sleight of hand is required. These, he suggests, are good routines to develop performing confidence, without needing to worry about the technical aspect of our art.

This first volume was followed up by Card College Lighter, and the final volume of the trilogy is now available in the UK.

Card College Lightest is available now for only £24.99. Another 18 routines taught in the same clear style as the previous two books – this comes highly recommended.
