Our friends at BigBlindMedia have got two new decks coming out soon – both of which mark something of a departure from their normal style. We hope to provide some reviews very soon, but in the mean time here is a sneak peak of their collaboration with Vanishing.inc – the ‘Discoverie’ deck – based on that extraordinary book – the Discoverie of Witchcraft – the first book on conjuring in the English language. The Discoverie Deck and the Karnival Elite deck are available to pre-order now.
If you can’t wait for the pre-orders, they’ve got some great new decks in stock already. The Titan Deck draws on Greek and Roman influences – so there are pillars everywhere and thunderbolt flashes. Some interesting features on this deck by Jose Morales.
A different religious tradition lies behind the Asura Deck – this time drawing on the unusual combination of Chinese and Hindu influences
My personal favourite of this recent clutch of new decks is the Moonshine Deck. Although nostalgia ain’t what it used to be, these have a simple elegance and are well worth a look.
